It’s Never Too Late
Tuesday, December 21, 2010
If you are embarrassed that it’s been a while since you’ve seen a dentist, you are not alone. If you are worried that someone will lecture you or think less of you for waiting so long, there is no reason to fear. Your dental team is here to listen to you and address any of your concerns.
At the Warden Eglinton Dental Centre, we understand that you live a busy life. With work, home, and family life, your health can become less of a priority on your long list of To Do’s. While we can’t organize your home, go to work for you, or care for your family, we can make caring for your health a little easier.
With online appointment requests and zero percent financing, maintaing your dental health is easier than ever. We gladly accept most insurance companies and we are always happy to sit down with you to discuss possible treatments plans and coordinate it to fit your lifestyle.
What to Expect at Your Dental Appointment
If it has been a while since you have seen a dentist or hygienist, your appointment will consist of a thorough dental exam, including: x-rays, cleaning and polishing your teeth, as well as screening your mouth for cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. One of our dentists will review all findings with you and discuss any suggested treatments.
If Nothing Hurts, Do I Still Need to See a Dentist?
Yes! Even if you are not experiencing any discomfort or pain, you may still have underlying dental problems. Poor dental health can affect the rest of your body. Recent studies have linked dental problems, such as gum disease, with heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and premature births. (To learn more about the effects of gum disease, click here to read: Gum Disease and Your Overall Health.)
It is never too late. Regular dental appointments (at least twice a year), can help you maintain a healthy mouth, letting you live a healthier life.
